The £73m Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Smethwick was built for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games (28 July to 08 August 2022).

The works included the laying of 190,000 pool tiles. Broughton's worked with our sub-contractor P. Plunkett Tiling Contractors Ltd to deliver the tiling package.

After the games, the venue will be reconfigured, including the removal of the 4,000 temporary seats, and additional leisure facilities will be added before the centre reopens as a community facility in the summer of 2023.
